Dani Alves wants Barcelona to sign Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado even though the Colombian would be a rival for his right-back spot.
Marca reports that Alves was asked at a Press conference about the speculation linking his club with Cuadrado, and if he was concerned at the increased competition for his place.
“If we can recruit him, then I encourage it,” Alves replied. “Always, the big players are welcome.
“It doesn’t bother me. On the contrary, he is a great player, young, and has had excellent performances with his club and the Colombian national team.
“Of course the club is looking for quality in order to compete. It gives me motivation.”
