Australia Coach Ange Postecoglou believes his side did enough to earn a point in their 3-1 defeat against Chile.
Chile took a two-goal lead early in the game but Australia rallied and nearly drew level, before Jean Beausejour wrapped up the win for the South Americans.
Speaking after the match, Postecoglou revealed his belief that his side had proved wrong the pre-tournament doubters.
“No one gave us a chance going into this game and going into this tournament,” he said, according to FIFA’s official website.
“But Australians don’t give up and I felt we deserved a draw.”
