Borussia Dortmund have moved to deny reports that Marco Reus will be joining Barcelona this summer.
Despite the forward suffering ankle ligament damage that will see him miss the World Cup, reports have indicated that the Blaugrana will make a move for the Germany international during the off-season.
However, insiders at the Bundesliga side have been firm in their denial that the winger will depart.
“It's certain that Marco Reus won't be moving on this summer", Sascha Fligge, the communications director of the German club told reporters.
The Dortmund general manager, Michael Zorc, was equally clear: “First and foremost, Marco himself said that he definitely wanted to play for Dortmund next season.
“And, secondly, there would be no point in making an offer because we don't want him to leave” he told Die Welt.
