Villarreal Coach Marcelino expects his team to be better next season as he prepares for his third year in charge.
Marcelino took over at El Madrigal in January 2013, seeing out the 2012-13 campaign with last year his first full year at the club.
The Yellow Submarine ended 2013-14 in sixth place and AS reports the boss as saying the squad needs to find a little extra to continue their progression, having returned to the top flight last year.
Marcelino suggested a way to get more from his players is to add to the group with new signings.
“It’s vital to achieve an extra and different motivation,” he said.
“We need pressure and motivation, which comes when a player has a rival squeezing him for his place.
“At this point, after two seasons together, the players already know us well, and know our ideas.”
