Sevilla Coach Unai Emery has lamented the possible departure of Ivan Rakitic to Barcelona but called on the club to regroup.
Emery has given an interview to Canal+ and the full conversation is due to air in Spain tonight. Sport have released an excerpt of the talk, in which Emery touches on his captain’s potential exit.
“The best thing for the club would be Rakitic to stay but I understand for various reasons he could leave,” Emery said.
“We have to be prepared for it. If ultimately he is transferred, we have to work to get another Rakitic.”
