David Villa has been pictured in Manchester with the British Press reporting he is having a medical for a move to New York City FC.
Villa has been a rumoured target for the MLS franchise, co-owned by Premier League side Manchester City and the New York Yankees.
The Manchester Evening News has published a picture of Villa purportedly in Manchester today, claiming he is going through the procedures for a move to the United States.
Villa, named today in Spain’s World Cup squad, scored 13 times for Atletico Madrid last season, his first at Vicente Calderon after leaving Barcelona last summer.
New York City FC will be part of next season’s MLS campaign as one of the League’s new franchises.
Villa won’t play for City before joining the new club, the report adds.
