David De Gea has revealed that if he could sign any player for Manchester United, it would be Andres Iniesta.
Mundo Deportivo reports the goalkeeper as saying that the Barcelona man would be his first choice if he had free reign over signings for his club. He added that he wouldn’t let Juan Mata leave Old Trafford either.
De Gea also discussed the goalkeepers’ situation with Spain, in an interview recorded for Movistar.
“It’s difficult. Getting Iker Casillas out of the team is very complicated,” he admitted.
De Gea also jokingly mocked Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration after scoring in the Champions League final and praised his former club Atletico Madrid for their campaign.
“Atletico players are an example,” he said.
