Marca have claimed that Sevilla captain Ivan Rakitic has made an agreement with Atletico Madrid.
It’s said that Real Madrid ended their interest in the Croatia international because they believed there was no way to get around the deal that already exists with their city rivals.
Sevilla are thought to be unhappy with Rakitic and his agent and have not been given a response to their overtures of a new contract.
Jose Castro, the Sevilla President, has also said that the club will not let the midfielder leave without a fight.
