Emery signs new Sevilla deal

Sevilla Coach Unai Emery has today signed a new contract with the Andalusians that will keep him at the club until 2016.

Under the former Valencia boss’ guidance, the Rojiblancos defeated Benfica to lift the Europa League title this season. They also finished fifth in La Liga.

Emery’s exploits this season attracted the interest of Milan, who made the 42-year-old their number one target to replace Clarence Seedorf last week.

However, Sevilla then offered him a contract extension to remain in his current position, a deal which Emery agreed to and today officially signed.

Milan in the meantime turned their attentions to Pippo Inzaghi, and it is believed he will be formally unveiled as the new Rossoneri boss within the next couple of days.
