A report by Metro has linked Ashley Cole with a possible move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The 33-year-old is out of contract with current club Chelsea this summer but has yet to be offered an extension by Jose Mourinho.
He has recently taken to Twitter to explain his current situation, writing: “I am weighing up my current options for next season with my agent. Sadly it does not look like Chelsea will be one of them.”
One potential next destination for the left-back could be the Bernabeu, with the Englishman having worked under Los Blancos Coach Carlo Ancelotti during the Italian’s spell at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool and Manchester City are two of the other teams thought to be interested in securing his services.
