New Valencia owner Peter Lim says he has the best sporting and economic solutions to turn around the club.
The Singaporean billionaire won the race to acquire the Mestalla outfit and has bought a 70 per cent stake in Los Che.
He will now clear the club’s debts before beginning plans for the future, with investment in new players expected to be a priority.
Speaking publicly for the first time since assuming control, the businessman thanked Valencia fans for their patience during months of uncertainty.
“In terms of this process, the winner was always going to be the person with the best sporting, economic and social solutions” Lim told reporters.
“I am very happy that we have won bearing in mind this was the criteria. I would like to thank the Valencia fans and the city for their strong support during these last months.
“I am very happy to have been chosen after this rigorous selection process. Finally, the Valencia fans can put months of uncertainty behind them.”
