Bordeaux’s majority shareholder has admitted that Zinedine Zidane would be an ‘incredible option’.
The Ligue 1 outfit have been heavily linked with a move for the Real Madrid assistant, with several reports suggesting that they will approach the former midfielder with the chance to take his first managerial role.
And for the first time, someone at the club has conceded that the World Cup-winner is an option for them.
“What is a football club? A club is an entertainment company and if you have the best actor to run the show, you'll do it the best. Zidane would be incredible for us,” Nicolas de Tavernost told L’Express.
“There are many factors that can influence the decision, so we'll see if it happens. The option is open.
“If I said we hadn't thought about it, I would be lying.”
