Manchester City are unwilling to sell reported Barcelona target Sergio Aguero and have set the forward’s price tag at €70m.
It has been rumoured that Barca want the Argentine, with some reports claiming Lionel Messi had asked the club to sign his compatriot this summer.
Messi’s father and agent has since denied that is the case but Sport claims Aguero is a prime target for Barca’s summer rebuilding programme.
But in an attempt to ward off interest from Catalonia, City have decreed Aguero couldn’t be sold for less than €70m and will do whatever they can to retain the former Atletico Madrid player.
If Aguero can’t be kept, City are said to feel the sum is so high that it would soften the blow of losing the 26-year-old.
