Schuster wants Germany return

Malaga Coach Bernd Schuster has told the German Press he would love to return to his homeland.

Schuster has been mentioned as a candidate to be the new Coach of Eintracht Frankfurt and told Bild that he would welcome the position.

“It’s no secret that I’d go back to live and work in Germany and the Bundesliga,” Terra Deportes reports Schuster as saying.

“Yes, I want to Coach Eintracht Frankfurt.

“If I finish the season with Malaga in the top 10 my contract will be extended by four seasons, and for that we have to win both games.

“Otherwise, either party can terminate the contract.

“I’m on [Eintracht’s] list, but I don’t know if I’m first, second or third. But that’s normal.

“My wife likes it in Germany.”

Schuster also revealed his experience of the Malaga bench this season.

“We had little money and lost all the stars, so had to incorporate a lot of young players,” he added.

“The pressure was greater than at big clubs because this club’s future depended on the season.”

Schuster is said to be competing with Sascha Lewandowski and Roberto Di Matteo, among others, for the Frankfurt post.
