Vicente Del Bosque will announce his preliminary squad for the World Cup on May 25, it has been confirmed.
The Spain Coach will pick an initial 30 players with the group to be revealed the day after the Champions League final between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, the RFEF has confirmed.
The final 23-man squad for the World Cup has to be announced by June 2, with Spain’s first game of the World Cup coming against 2010’s beaten finalists the Netherlands on June 2013.
La Roja will play a number of pre-tournament friendlies, including a tournament involving Nigeria, Greece, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Ivory Coast.
Spain’s first friendly of the summer takes place at Sevilla’s Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, with Bolivia the opposition.
