‘Barca match a prize’

Villarreal Coach Marcelino has described the prospect of playing Barcelona at El Madrigal ‘a prize for promotion.’

Marcelino was speaking at a pre-match Press conference and added that the fixture will be a difficult one.

“Playing games like this is a prize for promotion last year,” the Yellow Submarine trainer said, according to Marca.

“It would be very nice [to win] so we have a lot of enthusiasm and excitement.

“The aim is to prevent Barca from having a good day.

“They are aware that the League is very complicated but the end of the cycle, or believe it or think it, is something that must be analysed.

“Knowing the players, I expect a very tough match.

“To say we’re going to dominate the ball is silly and I’m not stupid.

“If we were playing with our hands I’d say it is possible, but since we can’t play with our hands, I won’t say that.”
