Chelsea midfielder Ramires is a shock transfer target for Barcelona, according to reports in Britain on Saturday.
The Daily Mirror lead with the news that the Blaugrana are looking to the Brazil international in order to bolster their midfield options.
With Cesc Fabregas and Alex Song linked with moves away, and Xavi failing to confirm what his future holds, sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta is thought to be keen on adding the 27-year-old as part of a ‘mini revolution’ at Camp Nou.
The paper claims that the Catalan giants are willing to offer €25m for Ramires, plus one of their youngsters – either on loan or as part of a permanent switch.
If the deal happens, it means the former Benfica man could have played his last game for Chelsea, after he was given a four-game retrospective ban following an elbow against Sunderland last weekend.
