Tito Vilanova is said to be in a stable condition after undergoing emergency surgery, reports in Spain have said.
The former Barcelona Coach was admitted to hospital on Thursday and had surgery the same day after routine scans revealed a more serious issue of a gastric complication, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Vilanova has been undergoing treatment for parotid cancer, having been diagnosed with the illness in 2011.
The 45-year-old stepped down as Barcelona Coach last summer.
