Calderon targets derby win

Real Betis Coach Gabriel Calderon has said he wants to beat Sevilla for a whole host of reasons.

The clubs meet in Sunday’s early kick-off only a few weeks after their Europa League tie that saw Los Rojiblancos progress on penalties.

Marca reports Calderon as revealing at his pre-match Press conference that revenge for that defeat is just one of the motivating factors as far as he is concerned.

“We have to win because it is our obligation, because of our position, because it’s the derby and for what has happened in previous games and in the European game,” Calderon said.

“We want to win. We can’t wait to see what happens.

“We have to go out and take control of the game. We’re setting out to win and when Sevilla attack, as we know they will, we have to defend.

“I don’t know what to make of [Sevilla Coach Unai] Emery. I know how to set out Betis to find the positive result we need.

“I don’t care about Sevilla. We are very clear about that.”
