Calderon disappointed by Betis display

Gabriel Calderon has said his Real Betis players didn’t perform as expected after a 3-1 defeat by Rayo Vallecano.

The result leaves Betis 10 points adrift at the bottom of the table with four games to go and Marca reports the Coach admitting after the match that this was a particularly damaging result.

“The team has suffered many hardships, including individual errors, and today the team has been wounded for the entire League,” Calderon told a Press conference.

“I don’t like to talk about individuals. It’s true that there were some players who didn’t perform as expected.

“In our situation we have to die on the field and talk in private.”
