Atletico Madrid midfielder Tiago has admitted that Chelsea will be favourites for their Champions League semi-final.
The Rojiblancos were drawn against the Premier League side in yesterday’s European Cup draw.
And the Portugal international has conceded that the west London outfit will be considered favourites, but is confident his men can cause an upset.
“There were no preferences [about who we faced]. They’re a top side and they have a top Coach,” he told a Press conference.
“They’re used to playing finals and winning trophies. It’ll be difficult, but we’re out to get to the final.
“Chelsea are favourites. I have no idea what will happen in the other semi-final. It’ll be a great match, the sort that we like to see on the television.
“We’ve been drawn against a very tough team that’s used to winning trophies and playing in finals, and has a great coach who’s also used to that.”
Tiago then commented on his own future at Vicente Calderon and the League match with Getafe this weekend.
“My future is decided at the end of the season and this year will be the same. Right now it’s what I’m thinking about the least, because we have a lot of great things to enjoy.
“I’m focused and we have a very difficult game on Sunday.
It really doesn’t matter right now whether you’re playing against teams fighting against relegation or at the top of the League.
“We know what we have to do to be a strong team. I like Getafe, I have friends there, but we can’t think about the team we’re facing. We can only think about getting the win.”
