Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu has revealed that he has spoken with FIFA leader Sepp Blatter.
The Blaugrana were handed a two window transfer ban by the governing body after breaking rules on signing under-18 players.
And the Camp Nou outfit’s chief has admitted to speaking with the Swiss businessman.
“I've been able to speak with Joseph Blatter and we had a friendly and cordial conversation,” Bartomeu told Barca TV.
He then moved on to discuss Andoni Zubizarreta, who reports suggest handed in his resignation when the club were handed this transfer sanction.
“We have total confidence in Zubizarreta. We are very happy with him. He's got a contract until 2016 and I hope he can stay at the club for many years as he's very important.”
