Gabriel Calderon is adamant his Real Betis side can spring a surprise and beat Barcelona at Camp Nou today.
Betis are bottom of the League with only five wins all season but the Coach told his pre-match Press conference that he has a plan for how to defeat the Catalans.
Calderon added, however, that coming up with an idea is far different from executing it successfully.
“At most we are able to lose one game and win the rest,” Calderon said of Betis’ fight against relegation.
“We know what it means to go to Barcelona but we’ll see if we can win the game.
“It’s easy to see on paper but it’s not the same on the pitch.
“We have to defend very well and if we play with speed, we can harm them.
“There is a way to beat Barca but you have to be very solid, play well defensively and have a lot of speed in attack.”
Calderon was asked directly if he feels Betis can beat Barca and was unequivocal in his reply.
“Of course I do.”
