Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that captain Adam Lallana is as good as Andres Iniesta.
The English youngster has been producing a series of stunning performances for the Saints this season, just in time for the World Cup in Brazil.
And his Coach at St. Mary’s, who used to come up against Barcelona regularly as Espanyol boss, believes that the midfielder is reminiscent of some of the Blaugrana’s best players.
"Lately he has had a number of opportunities to get into the England national side so that is a very good thing for him," Pochettino is reported as saying by The Guardian.
“I am always telling him that he has the characteristics of a Spanish player and he has the skills of an Iniesta, Xavi or Cesc Fábregas.
“Adam is special. He is a very unique player.”
