Marcelino was a relieved man after his Villarreal side beat Getafe, saying after the game that the victory was badly needed.

The Coach told his post-match Press conference that doubts had started to creep into his side after their rocky patch, but the three points from El Geta should reaffirm their confidence.
“We needed this win and we’ve got it,” Marcelino continued.
“We wanted to win because when you don’t, it can seem like the players aren’t playing well enough or not competing.
“The reality is that in many games we’ve been close to winning but haven’t because of small details.”
