Marcelino has said Villarreal shouldn’t let injuries give way to a poor performance or result against Getafe tonight.
The Yellow Submarine are without half-a-dozen players, including four defenders, for the trip to Coliseum Alfonso Perez but the Coach told his pre-match Press conference they can’t use that as an excuse.
“We’ve lost a lot of defenders, but this is football. Players can get injured at any time,” Marcelino said.
“It’s a problem but we have to fight. We’re not going to think that these losses will stop us winning this game.
“After all, we’ve only won one of our last seven.
“Getafe will not be an easy game and there are no differences between any teams in the last 10 games. We all need to win.
“We have to work hard and give our all to get into a virtuous circle. I know no other way.
“I hope people will support this super young team for what we’ve done and what they are giving us. They make me proud as a Coach.”
