Diego Maradona has said that conditions at Barcelona have changed so much he could see the club selling Lionel Messi.
Maradona gave an interview to German publication Sport Bild which has been reprinted in part by Mundo Deportivo.
In it Maradona cites examples of Barca’s changing attitude and claims he wouldn’t be surprised to see Messi move on – perhaps to Bayern Munich.
“I really believe that today Messi could be wearing another shirt,” Maradona said.
“Before, the power of Barcelona's officials was so strong that they didn't even allow them to put an advertisement on their shirt.
“But today they have Qatar Airways.
“If Barcelona allow advertising in their shirt why couldn't Messi play for Bayern?”
Maradona, who Coached Messi during his time in charge of the Argentina national team, added that a Bayern side containing La Pulga would be unstoppable.
“[Robert] Lewandowski and Messi? Then everyone else would play for second place. In every competition, in every League,” Maradona predicted.
