Joaquin Caparros has revealed Levante wanted three points from the draw with Espanyol but he is happy not to have lost.
Les Granotes had lost their last two prior to the game at Cornella-El Prat and Caparros told a post-match Press conference that he is taking the positives from the 0-0.
“We needed to get points but at least we’ve stopped the run of defeats,” the Coach said.
“[Espanyol and Levante] are very similar teams and we’re level on points.
“We had to pay attention to detail and we have goal difference in our favour. It’s another game towards our aim.”
Caparros has targeted a Europa League place for this season and believes the forthcoming midweek fixture with Real Betis will prove crucial.
“The game on Thursday will tell us if Europe is something we can keep going for,” he added.
“We have to get to that Europa League spot before the teams around us.”
