Karim Benzema believes that Cristiano Ronaldo is the ‘best player in the world’ and has admitted he has turned his Real Madrid fortunes around.
The French striker was a distant figure last season under Jose Mourinho, but has found a new lease of life this term, forming a partnership with Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
“I have the opportunity to play alongside the best player in the world, Cristiano. I'm very happy to connect well with him,” he told TF1.
“But for me Ronaldo Nazario (the Brazilian) is the best player of all time.
“I’ve been through some tough times, but I’ve always had confidence in myself.
“At the end of the day this is turning out to be a good year.”
The former Lyon man then commented on what it’s like to line up for Los Blancos and Zinedine Zidane’s impact.
“Zidane makes me a better player every day. In my opinion Real Madrid is the best club in the world. There’s nothing bigger.”
