Juan Antonio Pizzi has insisted that his Valencia side will fight until the end of the season to get into the Europa League places.
Los Che are now in eighth place, eight points behind Sevilla in seventh, after their 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad on Sunday.
But the Argentine Coach has claimed his men will not give up until the maths tell them otherwise.
“We will fight until it is mathematically impossible,” he told a Press conference. “Our mentality should be that we can win all our matches.
“I don’t think we found the spaces to cause them any trouble – especially in the latter part of the pitch.
“In the second half we had some control, but we just couldn’t find that equaliser.
“It’s difficult to give you any explanations when the development of the game indicates to me that we didn’t deserve to lose.”
