Caparros rues missed chances

Joaquin Caparros said in the aftermath of Levante’s 1-0 defeat by Celta Vigo that Les Granotes had plenty of chances to claim a better result.

David Barral was particularly wasteful, passing up a number of promising opportunities, including a penalty. Eventually the game was settled by an early Nolito goal.

“Sometimes you can score with half-chances. We had plenty of those but didn’t take them,” Caparros told a post-match Press conference.

“In the second half we were the real Levante, which we hadn’t been in the first. I explained that to my players at the break.”

Caparros was reluctant to discuss if Levante should have been awarded a goal, or a penalty, in one particular incident.

“There was no goal, no penalty, no justice, no injustice. The only thing is the 1-0 score line in favour of our opponent,” he replied when the subject was broached.
