‘Sevilla will recover’

Sevilla Coach Unai Emery is confident his team will recover from the Europa League defeat to Real Betis.

Betis won 2-0 at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and Emery told his post-match Press conference that he has faith in his side not to let the result damage their La Liga form.

“This is an experienced team and we’ve already gone through difficult times and recovered,” he said.

“We’re disappointed but we’ll pick ourselves back up for the game on Sunday against Real Valladolid.

“Then we have another chance against Betis. We’ll work hard and face them believing we can come back.

“First though we have to recover physically and mentally for Sunday.”

Emery added that Sevilla are capable of overturning the score line at Betis’ Benito Villamarin but warned it will take an enormous effort to do so.

“We need to show strength in the face of adversity,” Emery continued.

“We need to win by two goals, which is something we’ve already done this season and I think we can do it again, but it is a big challenge.

“We feel bad about this result and it’s hard to hold up our heads but we have to, and we have to go there and win.”
