Xavi Hernandez has insisted Barcelona Coach Tata Martino has his full support after the Champions League win over Manchester City.
The midfielder was asked in a post-match interview if Martino had his backing and Xavi could barely believe what he was hearing.
“Do I support Martino? I’m not even going to dignify that with a response,” he said.
Xavi was more forthcoming on other subjects, praising the team’s performance, tactics and support from the Camp Nou crowd.
“There were times when we struggled but we faced a strong opponent,” Xavi added.
“This is the Champions League and you expect to struggle.
“We dominated most of the match, felt good and completed our objective of going through to the quarter finals.
“The tactics depend on the game. The Coach is the one who decides and we played very well.
“The crowd was sensational. They were right behind us and could see how hard we worked.”
