Sergio Busquets has said the Barcelona fans are spoiled by the club’s success and need to support the team better in the bad times.
Barca beat Manchester City on Wednesday to progress to the quarter finals of the Champions League but the victory came only days after La Blaugrana were upset at Real Valladolid, provoking a wave of criticism.
Busquets spoke to Barcelona’s official television channel after the final whistle against City and called for better support in future.
“The fans have become too used to winning,” the midfielder said.
“We’d like them to be with the team always and not just when we’re winning titles.
“Sometimes we don’t play well and that’s when we need their support the most. Our needs are as important as theirs.”
