Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano says his team should not be written off despite their faltering form of late.
The Catalan giants are in danger of slipping out of the La Liga title race but are well placed to reach the Champions League quarter finals.
“Don’t say we are finished,” Mascherano warned at a Press conference ahead of Barca’s game with Manchester City at Camp Nou.
“We are still not dead yet.
“We have 18 matches to play in total and there is no margin for error.
“Sometimes people overhype what is going on and at other times people underplay things, but we are professional footballers.
“We need to know how to live with that.
“The team is not downbeat, we are looking at things differently.
“We are in the Last 16 of the Champions League with an advantage and we are in the Copa del Rey final.
“There is also still a long way to go in La Liga.
“There are things that we need to analyse critically and it is up to us to do that.”
