Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has claimed that his men played ‘a great game’ in beating Milan this evening.
The Rojiblancos defeated the Italian giants 4-1 on the night, 5-1 on aggregate, and the shot-stopper has insisted that his men deserved to make the quarter-finals.
“It’s very nice to reach the quarter-finals,” he told Sky Sports. “I think we played a great game.
“Maybe in the first half we weren’t quite so good, but overall we did well.
“The Champions League is for teams all over Europe so it would be beautiful to win it.
“It’s going to be tough, but we want to get to the final.”
Courtois concluded be commenting on his future, with reports that he may sign for Real Madrid.
“At the moment I don’t know what will happen.
“I have a two-year contract with Chelsea, so at the end of the season we will see.”
