Navas: We did our best

Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas has said the players gave their all in the 3-0 defeat against Real Madrid.

Speaking after the final whistle the Costa Rica international added that Les Granotes couldn’t do much more against the League leaders, and that he was pleased with his own performance.

Navas also declined to comment on the sending off of Levante defender David Navarro.

“We knew we were playing a great rival and we did our best,” AS quotes Navas as saying.

“We aren’t happy with the result but we have to face what comes, that’s important.

“The referee made his decision [to send off Navarro] and there’s nothing to be done,” he added

“It’s a goalkeeper’s job to make saves, to do their job well.

“Personally I leave happy with my performance. At this level you have to work hard to keep it up. I’m quiet [about a potential summer move]. I just work hard.”
