Xavi Hernandez has admitted that Barcelona can’t take any positives from their defeat against Real Valladolid.

Fausto Rossi’s early goal was enough to give the Pucela a 1-0 win this afternoon, and the Blaugrana midfielder has conceded that his men were poor throughout.

“We can’t draw any positive conclusions from that result and performance,” he told Carrusel Deportivo.

“We have to try and improve ahead of Wednesday [against Manchester City in the Champions League].

“It just wasn’t to be today.

“It’s a very painful loss – definitely a step back for us.”
