Reports in the Spanish Press claim that Atletico Madrid are preparing to make an offer for Inter playmaker Ricky Alvarez.
The Argentine talent turns 26 next month and has been at San Siro since July 2011.
He was a huge disappointment early in his Nerazzurri career, but has flourished recently under Walter Mazzarri.
Football Italia cite ‘reports emanating from Spain’ insisting that Atleti Coach Diego Simeone is eager to work with Alvarez and bring him to Madrid.
So far this season Alvarez has scored four goals and provided seven assists in 22 Serie A games.
He can play in central midfield, in wider roles or as a trequartista behind the strikers.
