Ancelotti pleased with ‘relaxed’ Madrid

Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that the atmosphere inside the Real Madrid dressing room is ‘relaxed’ ahead of this crucial period of the season.

Los Blancos host Levante tomorrow afternoon, and despite Champions League obligations and El Clasico coming up, the Coach has insisted that this match is as important as the rest.

“It's relaxed. The players know all the games are important,” he told a Press conference.

“The side, until now, has done everything well and now it's the business end. In general the atmosphere is relaxed and they're motivated.”

The Italian tactician then commented on some of his squad members, including injured Alvaro Arbeloa, Xabi Alonso and Isco.

“Arbeloa has had a problem with his knee, we evaluated it and he needs to rest. After the rest we will see if he can train.

“He's very important, not only for his defensive capabilities but also for his personality. Hopefully he recovers and is ready for the next games.

“Pepe had a stomach problem, and started training today. He did light work and I'll make my decision tomorrow.

“Xabi's return was very important and it coincided with the side's improvement. We're good.

"We have spoken [about Isco] for a month. We haven't been able to play with him in that position.

“He played very well against Schalke and Atlético. He is closer to starting. I had a similar case. Seedorf was an attacking central midfielder who, with sacrifice, played in this position. Isco can do what Seedorf did.”
