Calderon planning Betis changes

Gabriel Calderon will name a much-changed Real Betis team for the second leg of their Europa League match with Rubin Kazan.

The score stands at 1-1 from the first leg at Benito Vilamarin and while Calderon told a Press conference he considers the match important, he will still overhaul his starting XI.

“There will be many changes,” the Coach confirmed.

“The Europa League isn’t in the background because the next game is the most important,” Calderon argued.

“It was hard to qualify for last season and you want to play the best.

“The obligation is to try to send people home happy after every game because this has been a year of sadness.

“We know that to qualify would bring deep joy.”

Calderon was asked for his thoughts on the possibility of playing Sevilla in the next round of the competition but the Argentine was reluctant to get ahead of himself.

“We think first of tomorrow’s game,” Calderon replied.

“If we get through then we could think about the derby.”
