Pique faces fortnight out

Gerard Pique faces a race to be fit for Barcelona’s Champions League match with Manchester City.

AS report that the centre-back has picked up a calf injury in the 3-1 loss to Real Sociedad on Saturday and is likely to be sidelined for two weeks.

It means the defender will be back just in time for the Last 16 second leg clash with the Premier League outfit, but is likely to be lacking match fitness.

The paper writes however, that the Blaugrana will be desperate for Pique to play in the game, with the coaching staff worried by the lack of depth in the backline.

Barca go into the game holding a 2-0 aggregate lead.
