Cristiano Ronaldo’s three-match ban has been upheld by the Spanish Sport Ministry’s Administrative Court [TAD].
Real Madrid had gone to appeal following the forward’s red card against Athletic Bilbao two weeks ago.
However, following a hearing, the court has decided to uphold the Portugal international’s initial ban.
It means he will not play for Los Blancos against Elche this afternoon, with Gareth Bale, Jese and Karim Benzema expected to lead the line.
