Real Sociedad will open talks with Jagoba Arrasate about signing a new contract to stay in San Sebastian for two more years.
AS reports that the Anoeta hierarchy are very happy with Arrasate and the development of the team under his guidance this season.
Arrasate replaced Philippe Montanier in the summer when Montanier left for Rennes. Arrasate had been Montanier’s assistant and stepped into the breach, his first post as a Coach.
La Real are currently sixth in La Liga, four points short of a Champions League place.
AS adds that the faith of the club in Arrasate was shown when the Coach was included on a scouting trip to the Netherlands recently, as the sporting director, Loren, wanted his input.
Arrasate is considered a Coach for the long-term and will be included in future planning, with La Real hoping to come to an agreement by next month so they can start their summer transfer business as early as possible.
