Milan midfielder Andrea Poli was impressed by Atletico Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois in their sides’ Champions League meeting.
Atletico won 1-0 at San Siro with a Diego Costa goal but Courtois’ contribution was as crucial, making two first half saves when the score was goalless.
Courtois got a slight touch onto a Kaka effort that struck the bar before keeping out Poli’s header shortly after.
“Courtois has been amazing,” Poli told UEFA’s official website after the match.
“We played a great first half even if in the second we were a little tired.
“We want to go through and tonight we proved we can do it. If we play like that in the return leg we can go through.”
