Ancelotti gives Seedorf Atleti advice

Real Madrid Coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed he has spoken to his Milan counterpart Clarence Seedorf regarding Atletico Madrid.

The Italians host Atleti on Wednesday night and speaking with Corriere Dello Sport, Ancelotti revealed Seedorf has been in contact, looking for information on Los Colchoneros.

“Yes, I have spoken with Seedorf, he’s a friend of mine,” Ancelotti said.

“He asked me for information about Atletico, but he knows perfectly well how to face the game.

“Atletico are a mirror image of their manager. They're a strong team, tight, hard, with a combative mentality.

“It's difficult to play against them, they give nothing away. Milan have to be careful about counter-attacks and set pieces.”

Seedorf played under Ancelotti for many years at Milan and was recently appointed as Coach at the San Siro, his first role in management.

“Clarence is not afraid. I have seen him totally submerged in his new manager role,” Ancelotti added.

“He has some great ideas, but he will need to be patient to get what he is looking for from Milan.”

Ancelotti was also asked about the form of Jese, who has burst onto the scene this season.

The former Paris Saint-Germain boss replied that while Jese is performing at a high level, he isn’t the only talented young striker with whom he has worked.

“Jesé has talent like crazy, and he's not even 21 yet,” Ancelotti said.

“I have trained some players that were like him at his age, such as Pato.”
