Raul Garcia has put pen-to-paper on a new Atletico Madrid deal, tying himself to the club until 2018.
The attacking midfielder has been linked with a switch away from Vicente Calderon in recent months, with Manchester United said to be especially interested.
However, the former Osasuna man has opted to stay with Diego Simeone’s men by signing an extension.
“I am very happy with the agreement,” he told the club’s official website.
“Both the club and I wanted to tie it up because I'm very comfortable here."
“Now I’ll just keep working to achieve the objectives with the group. Things are going very well and we will work to continue in this run.”
