Del Bosque open to new faces

Spain Coach Vicente del Bosque is aware of the youngsters performing well this season and says he could take them to the World Cup.

Del Bosque was receiving an award for sporting excellence from the Albacete Sports Gala, dubbed the Andres Iniesta Award for Excellence in honour of the region’s favoured son, and told Marca that he is considering when the right time is to blood La Roja’s next generation.

“We have many potential players who could come and play,” del Bosque said, adding that his squad still retains a stable base of players.

“We’re collection information in order to choose who can best represent us,” the World Cup winning-Coach continued.

Del Bosque noted it is inevitable that Spain will see new players coming into the fold in the near future and that he hopes he will be given time to oversee the transition.

“If it doesn’t happen at this World Cup, it will at Euro 2016 in France,” he said.

“But no one should be concerned because we won’t hold them back.”
