Jose Sosa wants Atletico Madrid to put their Copa del Rey exit behind them and focus on the La Liga title race.
Sosa was speaking to reporters after the game and insisted that Atleti could have overturned the 3-0 deficit from the first-leg, but were undone by the two early penalties converted by Cristiano Ronaldo.
“The team had the right attitude and nothing is impossible in football,” Sosa said.
“But the two goals came too quickly and the game went a way we didn’t expect.
“[The Cup] is a good competition but we’re out now and we have to focus on what’s next, which is important.”
Atletico have lost their last three games and fell from the top of the table on Saturday after they were beaten by Almeria.
Sosa doesn’t feel Atletico should be overly concerned by their form but at the same time warned against the dangers of believing they have no holes in their game.
“It’s not something to be too worried about. We have to keep concentrating and keep working hard because we’re lacking a lot.
“But we know we’re doing a good job and we have to maintain it.”
