‘Game more even than scoreboard’

Jagoba Arrasate claimed that his Real Sociedad weren’t as bad as the 4-0 loss to Atletico Madrid would suggest.

Goals from David Villa, Miranda, Diego Costa and Diego took the capital side to the top of the table.

But the Erreala Coach has insisted that his side were not worth the thrashing they were afforded.

“I thought it was more even than the score would suggest,” he told a Press conference. “Especially the second half.

“We made mistakes for the first and second goals, but after that we improved greatly.

“Such a heavy defeat is hard to explain. We were in the game for 70 minutes.

“But I have to admit that Atletico played a very intense, very strong game.

“This team is going to fight for the League right until the end of the season.”
